The Inspiration for Wristees® came from creating a collection that was more accessible, a day-to-day range that was practical, affordable and well-designed. Our Wrisees® also boast a variety of health benefits, and we have received fantastic feedback from our customers who suffer from circulation problems such as arthritis and Raynauds.

Anna Falcke is a female-led design team based in Bristol. We are proud to say everything is made locally in the South West of England. We are a small collective of female sewers dedicated to constantly improving our sustainable initiatives by keeping the products made in the UK. By investing in the local economy, we help reduce air pollution to try and keep our carbon footprint as low as we possibly can. We have recently launched our recycled range of Eco Fleece Wristees®, which are made 100% from recycled plastic bottles.

The take-home message is that, yes, we do have evidence that cold exposure can make us more susceptible to catching a cold. So, avoiding excessive cold exposure is a good idea, particularly when we are more likely to catch a cold – i.e. when we are subject to increased stress, insufficient sleep, poor diet. One form of cold exposure you shouldn’t forget about is air conditioning. I’ve heard multiple accounts of patients coming down with something after sudden exposure to air conditioning. So if you have no control over the thermostat, and you know you’ll be somewhere that feels like the inside of a refrigerator, take a coat, and maybe even a scarf, to protect the ‘wind gate’ at the back of your neck. And you can blame me if people ask you why you’re all bundled up inside!
